Loren's eLiterate

I like all sorts of genres, and I love a good series. However, I dislike books that portion the story out to readers in a serialized fashion over several volumes, and I refuse to buy them.

Running Barefoot - Amy Harmon I have a weakness for childhood-friends-to-lovers stories, but it's rare that I want to start re-reading a book immediately after finishing it. This is one of those rare books. The storytelling is clear and seemed almost effortless, and the relationship between Josie and Samuel was beautifully drawn. What appeared at first glance to be an unlikely friendship evolved into a deep and abiding love capable of surviving separation and hardship.
