I like all sorts of genres, and I love a good series. However, I dislike books that portion the story out to readers in a serialized fashion over several volumes, and I refuse to buy them.
This is a surprisingly sweet story, and I enjoyed watching the relationship unfold between Ivan, a scientist with (perhaps) mild Asperger's Syndrome, and Camille, a computer script writer. The BDSM aspects made perfect sense, as the strict rules governing behavior and the frank discussions about goals and expectations between Dom and sub would be particularly appealing to Ivan, who sometimes struggled to find his place even in the insular society of academia.
